What you’ll do |
Purpose The Educational Developer – Indigenous Initiatives is an integral member of the Educational Development Team in the Centre for Teaching Excellence. The Educational Developer – Indigenous Initiatives will work directly with faculty in Indigenizing curriculum, programming, and the learning environment. The Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) provides educational leadership that supports excellence in teaching to the university community. The CTE offers several educational development programs such as the Instructional Skills Workshop, Teaching Squares, faculty peer mentoring, communities of practices, faculty learning communities, individual consultations, curriculum design, teaching with technology, and an annual Teaching and Learning Symposium. The Educational Developer – Indigenous Initiatives is flexible, positive and works well in a collaborative team environment. The Educational Developer – Indigenous Initiatives will promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning while carrying out the following responsibilities: Illustrative Examples/Specific Responsibilities Under the general guidance of the director, teaching and learning, and as part of the Centre for Teaching Excellence, the Educational Developer – Indigenous Initiatives is responsible to do the following:
