This position will take place on weekdays and weekends. This position is an as & when part time position. We are hiring up to 2 separate positions, the position may become permanent work as we expand at the Squamish location. The key role of this position is to monitor and manage the sports complex day to day operations. There will be physical work, heavy lifting, setup/take downs, cleaning, maintenance of equipment or work related to sports facility. The incumbent should be organized, work efficiently and be mechanically inclined.

This position is ideal for someone who lives in the Squamish area.

What you’ll do
This is manual work with a clerical component requiring basic office skills and knowledge of computer skills like office 365. An incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for monitoring the outdoor and indoor facilities, equipment and facility services. Duties also include issuing equipment, laundry services, cleaning, maintaining equipment, equipment set-up and providing information on the programs and services offered within the facility. This position typically reports Campus Recreation Programmer, Facility Supervisor or the Director of Athletics and Recreation.
What you’ll bring
• Completion of grade 12.
• Six months of experience in a recreational/sports facility.

Days and Hours of Work
Hours may vary, and shifts will primarily be weekdays and weekends with some evenings or days and non-standard work shifts. Shifts can be on short notice, hours can change due to facility operations or cancelled last minute by programmer, supervisor or director.

Salary
$22.86 per hour (with increments to a max of $25.73 per hour) plus an additional $1 per hour.
